Regarding KSML requests on a held reservation, does anyone know if the request only goes through once I ticket? I have a reservation on hold with the KSML requests in, but I probably won't ticket it until within 24 hours of the flight.

According to the phone rep the meal request should be fine even if I don't ticket until the last minute.

Makes me wonder what they do with the KSMLs when people don't end up ticketing the ressy.

In case this is helpful, even if the phone rep is wrong, when I just flew KE F, I changed my flight within 24 hours so they couldn't guarantee me KSML but when I got to the airport, the agent told me she sees I need Kosher and will make some calls and do everything she can. By the time I got to the lounge, the lounge agent told me that she got a call to tell me that my meal was confirmed.

Anyone ever see availability for CZ/MU F but when you call KE to hold/book the seats come back unconfirmed? Any advice? They refuse to try to long sell

I realize this is an old post, but... CZ/MU have blackout dates that are enforced even when booking via KE. Those dates are listed somewhere on the KE site.

Thanks! I've got the 730 from ICN to JFK on hold but I'm hoping for the 10am to open and to switch to that, so it's good to know I may still get a meal if I switch flights.

I'm actually really hoping for Oz to open tho..

what do you mean? How long will it take to ticket? How long will it take you to fill out the KE paperwork?
It depends if you're redeeming for anyone other then the KE AH

I'm the KE AH, and I may need to fly out Thursday evening, but won't know for certain until Tuesday or Wednesday.  Assuming I can fill out and forward the paperwork promptly, will it work out?

I want to transfer UR to korean for flights to HI. The problem is that they dont show partner awards on their site, you need to call in. How can i know availability if i dont have any points there, and if they confirm availability do i havta worry that it will no longer be there after i transfer?

You can search on HA. Look for saver awards. Also keep in mind that while HA is a little more expensive you can book one ways and tack on the interisland flights for free neither of which KE will do.
Just transfer while on to phone, it's instant.
