Why are you guys so sure? VAT is an additional percentage added to the price you paid. In this case you pay 0 so the tax should be 0.

I don't think they can legally charge you anything. This is akin to walking into a store that is selling something at a 50% discount and than tries to charge VAT on that 50% discount.

The VAT is supposed to go to the government, if Hilton charges you VAT on a 0$ stay, they are probably not giving it to the government.
You won't pat VAT.
i was at the Hilton Tel Aviv not long ago with a point booking and i didn't pay. (i have an American passport with a student visa, that means that i do have to pay. i did pay VAT for the parking). i chated with hilton before and they said that ALL reward/points booking include VAT. i will be staying at the WAJ shortly and that said the same applies there.

To be specific, 2 people per room. So if you're staying alone you can bring one guest

Looks like as of 4/1 it's actually going up to 95k points a night all the way through until 11/1

Guess the estimate of 45-95 wasn't that realistic. I'm guessing they'll lower it close in for dates w low occupancy.

i highly doubt it will go lower than 80. Category 10 has always been 80-95

When they're close to a reimbursement threshold they may. But that won't happen too often IMO.

Booked two standard rewards rooms over Pesach a LONG time ago and we are getting excited to go.  They just e-mailed me with these questions and I thought it was a great service touch and others might appreciate seeing all the effort they put in to the experience.  Granted, the seder meals aren't cheap (although they seem inline with most Israeli hotes) and I've never been to a fancy Pesach resort but I thought that the fact that they even ask you exactly what time you want to begin and if you have preferences for linen or centerpieces was a very nice touch.

We are getting close to Seder Pesach. Please advise the following details:

1.       Time of beginning

2.       Final number of people – if has been changed from *   : * adults and * kids

3.       Please confirm -  white table cloth

4.       Do you take care of the design?  If no, we can provide  1 basic small vase of flowers on the table

5.       Which electronic sign would like to uplaid? (up to 4 words like ****** Private Pesach seder…)

6.       Any special requests?

Hechsher is plain Rabbanut. That's all.

you need to speak to the mashgiach and or your lor to get up to date  info. My dated input is that the Waldorf maintained mehadrin standards in all regular dining room but some events are not mehadrin.  Citadel maintained mehadrin in dairy but meat was only mehadrin some weeks, if that works for you. But this is over a year old and must be reverified.
And if the official hashgachah being Rabbanut regular is a problem for you, you shouldn't eat there.
