Just redeemed a weekend night for shabbos chanuka. Travelling with wife and 2 month old baby.

1) when booking, they told me there would be a $130USD charge to add the infant. Is there some way around this? It really doesn't make sense.

2) How does shabbos morning check-out work?

Don't add the infant and you check out after shabbos.

Thanks for the heads-up about this date!  This points amount is one of the benefits of HHonors new dynamic pricing. If the cash price drops below a certain level  then the points pricing switches to a sliding scale and I guess this is what the points price is for when the cash price is only $350.

Reg price is 405 and member is 392 so not sure how their scale works but the scale is based on the rate of 392

I’m honestly not sure. Some hotels set their dynamic pricing at about $.005 and as low as a third of a cent (and ratios themselves change for specific hotels during off season). Again, I have no idea how each hotel does it but I’m not sure it’s based off the Flexible rate.  When they just had a flash sale in Asia, I rebooked a residence at the Conrad Koh Samui for around 60k a night less than my original booking and I don’t think the base rate was that much cheaper.  I’d love to hear how they do set points pricing from a TA or if you can get a manager to explain.  :)

Good question.  Why wouldn't they?  Maybe check the T&Cs for the GCs to see if they have anything about not working at properties outside the US or where they bill in a foreign currency.  On a similar note, I was bummed to see that the WAJ is not included in the list of WA and Conrad properties where you could use the $250 resort credit that will come with the Hilton's new premium Amex Aspire card.

What changed?
Well for one, a lit of people have told me they eat there relying on the "owners"- the Reichman's that live yeremi.

But those owners are not as involved anymore, and they themselves told me they don't really eat there anymore (maybe dairy) as they don't know if the protocols they put into place are still being kept.

Lots of vagaries. Can you be more specific?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I didn't get into specifics, as it wasn't nogaya to me anymore.
But like you said- each person should do their own research.

I'm just saying the ones that were just relying on the "owners" should be aware that it may not be so simple anymore.

Which is exactly why relying on what a mashgiach tells you can only work for right then and not even a short while after.
It is quite simple. The research needs to be done each time separately.

No? Maybe I’m ignorant because I’ve only been to the WAJ and Hilton TA recently but is it at all common for Israeli hotels to charge for Shabbos keys?
