"The hotel will offer 220 spacious suites and guestrooms, with facilities
including a choice of three restaurants, a 5,381 square‐foot spa and fitness facility with pool, in addition to
extensive conference and meeting facilities and on‐site parking. Sited adjacent to the hotel, the luxurious
Residences at The Palace Jerusalem, The Waldorf Astoria Collection, comprising of 30 residences, will have
views of the Old City and will enjoy access to services from the hotel."

when was that written up? I remember seeing the original pics and the Hotel part was alot smaller then the building for the residences.I dont remember the #s but it sure wasnt 220 rooms . the Hotel part was suppose to be the old Palace Hotel the part that still has the old walls standing

I do know that the Mamilla is having its problems selling its private apts , which is a separate building from the Hotel. I wonder if they changed the #s as the economy soured and the chance of selling them got worse

thanks for the link, and it seems its an old 1 at that

But the pic is way off according to the pic the Palace Hotel is directly across the street as the 1st building from the DC while in fact you need to cross 2 streets to reach it and there will be a building in between that 3 story building the pic shows and the DC. this pic shows 2 buildings while the ones I saw at the site were showing 3. The same 2 as the link has + a building between the Palace and the DC

Unless they knock down all the buildings on KD St and pave over it no way will a person beable to walk out of the Palace and be standing on KD St and they only knocked down a few of the buildings that are KD street as I believe they dont own them all

You will see what Im talking about when you are over there next month

from an Avis map the other street is called Ben Shimon its a narrow 1 way street (now closed) that went up to KD St yet on the links pic it seems to be a broad 2 way street (I think it goes by a different name, but still goes from Rehov Agron on a  slant to KD St, and the last right turn if walking up on Agron towards the DC before hitting teh intersection of Agron and KD St.

BTW I just tried clicking on the link to www.thepalacejerusalem.com thats on the link you provided and its N/A and says it expired on 4/8/10

Looks like it's been pushed to 2012.
It was supposed to have been operational by 12/10

At least there will be something to burn points on near the old city when it finally opens.
191 rooms, 30 suites, 2 presidential suites, 30 residences.

This seems like a strong sign that the Jerusalem Waldorf Astoria will actually open its doors one day...

$30MM, that's $10MM more than Reichmann paid for the property in the first place!

For sure, but that's a nice payday on a sale of just a fraction of the apartments and not even any of the hundreds of hotel rooms.

Nice suggestion.

But not necessarily will 2 Hilton points at the Waldorf be worth as much as 1 VS mile in upper class. Gotta calculate what works best for each person.
How many ptts does waldorf  per night? I doubt the retail cost of their rooms in Jerusalem will cost so much

I don't one what is supposed to happen, but knowing Israel and seeing it, I wouldn't bet on anything before mid-2013
