If counting passenger on the aircraft as they often do, and one person (without checked luggage) is missing, will they turn the plane upside down, or will they assume the passenger after supposedly boarding just left...?

there was a story a few minths ago of a guy who drilled thru the bathroom door to still from a brinks package in the cargo hold... So they might look for you.

To the point, even if they do turn it upside down, I'd doubt they'd cancel your miles, but the GA would prob get in trouble

I didn't plan on leaving the plane, just they not finding me there, hence the "Please don't ask me why"

It also has nothing to do with earning miles.

AFAIK the whole point of them counting, is for that reason. so no one checked in, is missing.

What happens if someone slips out after the scan (doesn't seem to difficult to do), everyone aboard has to show their ID?

They would match the missing seat and ask if xyz is onboard to ring the call button.

I'd imagine they would deboard you (perhaps after checking the bathrooms and seeing that the head count was indeed off by one) but I don't know that for a fact.

The GA have to wait until check out? Also, isn't the head count to verify there aren't too many people? Someone sneaking onboard? I don't see a FA going out of her way to make sure a pax doesn't get miles because he's not BIS.
We're missing a piece of the picture - what's the risk - if you're boarding twice, how bad can that be? If you're a FA or pilot, shouldn't be an issue. If you're hiding in the overhead bin, I doubt they'll check there.

There has to be an accurate manifest of who's on board. If that manifest is off they will fix it, simple as that.

OK, but they often don't check. And that manifest might not affect what SF is trying to do... I think we need a thread What Are The Benefits Of Flying In An Invisibilty Cloak (Or Hiding In The Overhead Bin).

I'm guessing they would assume either you got off without them noticing or there was some glitch that's causing it to show you as boarded.
