The following was sent to me by DDF member Jay11 (who prob. has a few usernames):

This is to advise you that you are copying copyrighted and protected material. Your illegal use of many articles and photos at http://forums.dansdeals.com are originally from the website/blog, **********.com. This is original content that ********.com is the author and copyright holder. Use of copyright protected material without permission is illegal under copyright laws.

Please take one or more of the following actions immediately:

-Re-write the post to include excerpts with a link to the original content.

- Credit the material specifically to ********.com as the author, and the website with the original content [be specific].

- Remove the plagiarized material immediately.

We would prefer to promptly resolve this matter without legal action and trust that your prompt cooperation will allow us to do so.

Thank you for your immediate action on this matter.

well you do sometimes copy straight off from there, question is if that is an issue. Im assuming one of the lawyers or dan can answer that. either way just rephrasing the deal should do the trick because it's not like its their deal in the first place

I always rephrase the word.

Besides He also copies straight from SD many times.

I have no idea what the law is. I'm just pointing out what his problem prob is. As I said before I have no idea if he is right.

The bottom line is you can't copyright a deal or public images, though the style of the writing as well as any original writing can be copyright. Don't take writing style or original pictures obviously, but nothing else can actually be copyright, for better or for worse.

If you are going to rip something from another site why not just give that site credit? That is all they are looking for.
