So i posted on the obihai forums my dilemma and my idea to fix it, the obi forum people quickly wrote up a line of code that can be added to the obi making any outgoing call starting with the digit 0 automatically go to the **2 service provider(spikko).
Because all israel phone numbers start with "0" and no US/Canada numbers start with 0 - it should work wonders!

Is there a way I could do that for the regular line going in (obi110)?

Anyway currently to get IL calling?
I see Anveo has unlimited incoming for $5 a month, but I'm assuming outgoing rates will be the same as calling from the US

I've been communicating with a rep at Spikko, and he says there are in the process of reimplementing their VoIP system. It will probably be "a few dollars per year, amount hasn't been decided yet"

I asked him to keep us updated on this thread.

They are starting testing for the service in about 2 weeks.
Seems to me it wont be available for a few months.
In the mean time there is Anveo for $5 per month unlimited incoming, outgoing is at their regular outgoing rates. Still beats standard landline as long as you don't use that many outgoing minutes (we all have unlimited cells, right?). Plus you don't have to deal with an Israeli company

They do not publicly offer VoIP services at this time

At the moment they give you a local number in a country of your choosing, and they forward it to your phone for per minute charge.

They were, and hopefully will be a VoIP service like Vonage etc that would allow you to make and receive calls as an Israeli line anywhere in the world, as long as you have a VoIP box connected to the Internet

If you won't be making a lot of outgoing calls to cells, I would recommend Anveo. $5 per month including unlimited incoming. 1.7 cents per minute to Landline, 7 CPM to Cell.
If you are going to go heavy on cell calls, check out Callcentric. $12.95 per month + $10.95 setup fee for unlimited incoming, 1.43 CPM to landline, 3.19 CPM to mobile.

Technically speaking, with an OBi you could use Anveo for incoming, and Callcentric for outgoing (no need to sign up for their incoming plan) for the best of both worlds. However your incoming number wont show up on CID, unless you have someway to spoof it (or just block it).

Also that would use up 2 slots in your OBi, so if you also want to use it with GV, you would need the 202
