Well that changes things.
If you don't care why would you comment?

I honor it to Dan as he gave me the platform...

:D חמרא למרא, טיבותא לשקיא

just want to say i think you handled it well
Very well written.

Well done, Dan!!!

after going back and forth with her I got the following new information: there are many types of Citi cards which earn Thank You points, but not all of them will be eligible to transfer, only the following 4 cards: Citi Premier card; Citi Prestige card; Citi Chairman MC and Citi Chairman Amex.

Interesting data point. Dan, time to update this DD post?

Well that changes things.

Not really, they are transferable (a la Chase UR), and unlike UR, transfers to anyone are officially allowed.

ETA: It seems there are some limitations on TYP transfers (see bottom questions of FAQ page I linked to), but I don't think any of those are game-changing (no pun intended).

Just put down the phone with a Citi rep. I asked her: "is it true that on April 1st I'll be able to transfer Thank You points into British Airways and Singapore airlines frequent flyer program?" she answers me: "thats correct" I asked: "can you please verify that information?" she said "give me a moment" after a few min she came back and said "yes, that info is correct" after going back and forth with her I got the following new information: there are many types of Citi cards which earn Thank You points, but not all of them will be eligible to transfer, only the following 4 cards: Citi Premier card; Citi Prestige card; Citi Chairman MC and Citi Chairman Amex.
How accurate is this compared to your first post?  ::)

Dan if I were u I would make an issue out of them defaming your site by calling it inaccurate, push them in a corner, if only for the publicity

Dan, I wonder if there has been much increased traffic to this site due to this whole thing.  I would assume so since most bloggers and other sites referenced your post with a link.

Well it's the only citi card I have that earns TY points. If they aren't transferable to airlines (as meshugener wrote earlier "only the following 4 cards: Citi Premier card; Citi Prestige card; Citi Chairman MC and Citi Chairman Amex."), then I wouldn't bother swiping it at all.

Did you see what I linked to? They're officially transferable  to anyone, do just transfer to anyone who has one of those cards and voila! your TYP can be transferred to miles.

Citi just swapped my AA biz card into the ATT card.
Do they ever offer any promos?

Are both not available anymore? If anyone has link to cc 50k link pls post.
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Some rumors that they deactivated the 50k apps in advance of the upcoming transfer option to BA.

Smart of them. Now I'm thinking I should've gone for the 100k TYP when it was easily available via 2BM.

I was declined in October 2010 for Citi AA and approved in November 2011, just 5 months ago with 4000 cl. Not sure if worth it to apply. I would wait if the knew the offer won't expire. What would you do?

They canceled plans to have a 100k offering for the same reason
