Earn 5ppd on Fairmont
Earn 2ppd on Airlines/Car Rentals
Earn 1ppd elsewhere

Hotel And Room Redemption Levels

Collection B    35,000    40,000    45,000
Collection C    45,000    50,000    55,000
Collection D    65,000    70,000    75,000

For reference sake, you can apparently buy non-expiring certs for:

A top-tier Hyatt will cost triple a top-tier Fairmont hotel.  And there are far fewer Fairmont hotels in the world.

Is This is in addition to a free room cert for 12K spend?

Basically points are worth under 1cpp as per their valuation?
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Dunno about these, but for the Platinum certs they need to have a "Fairmont room" or "Fairmont suite"
I'm not sure if the standard room certs will work in one of their all-suite hotels, like Mauna Kea (Maui).

Right, in addition.
The points themselves are less than 1cpp, really crappy, though the 12K free cert may make it worthwhile.  Still need to do more research into it when I have time.

Not so hot over the $12k free cert. The Hyatt card gives free cat 1-4 anniversary night for no spend (aside from AF).

That $12k in spend put on the Hyatt card = a second night in a cat 3 hotel...
That $12k in spend put on the SP in a bonus category = a second night in a cat 6 hotel...
Even using $6k in spend on the Freedom in a 5x bonus category = almost second night in suite in a cat 6 hotel...

how can i buy the certs? there are some expensive fairmont collection b hotels i plan on using in the summer. it would be cheaper to buy the cert for 289. can you tell me how to buy them?

From the T&C " Offer is not valid with any other offer, promotion or savings." So the answer would probably be no.
