Chase Freedom(Two Cards)

I have 2 chase Freedom credit cards with the same credit limit on each. The second I got when WaMu was bought out by Chase. Should I call Chase and have them combine the cards so I only have 1 card with a higher credit limit?

It may also be worth keeping two freedom cards so that you can max out the qurterly bonuses twice

quick question on the chase freedom card: does it have a min CL of $5k like the saphire does or can it be less? (i want to borrow from an existing 7,200 CL that cant be below $5k to get an approval)

You can have as low as a $500 CL on th Freedom.

This is great to hear -- thanks for the info!!  It seems I have maxed out my credit with Chase.  I currently have 6 Personal and 1 Business cards, as well as a mortgage; I have opened and closed several other cards with Chase over the past couple years. Most of my current cards have $5K lines.

I'm planning to apply for the new Fairmont card when it comes out next month and knowing this will allow a little more flexibility, if I need to move some credit around.  As a lifetime Fairmont Plat the new card looks like it may be a good opportunity.

Thats intresting because on my sapphire and SP chase told me i cant leave it with under a $5k CL.

It can be done but similar to having a SP visa switched to a SP MC within the first year, most reps won't do it. You've got to HUCA HUCA HUCA.
