United Canceled Ticket Credit Question

I recently cancelled a $2400 ticket with United, I now have it in credit, but they say I can only use it to book a ticket (or tickets) in my name. Anyone have any ideas?

try this.  reinstate your ticket and find the cheapest ticket possible on united change the ticket you have to the cheapest one you found. they may give you a credit to use under any name .you will lose the amount of the cheap ticket you bought, (unless you have use for it)
this is how it works on continental!! do your research before you actually go ahead with anything.
