Keeping track of Credit Cards...
« on: January 12, 2010, 02:26:52 PM »
Does anyone know what's the best program to use to keep track of tons of credit cards?
(i know points.com is good for keeping track of miles...)

Microsoft Excel.
Other than Excel, you can try Yodlee.com and Mint.com. Both are free. I'm personally using Yodlee and pretty much impressed with it. Also, if you don't mind spending little money, Quicken is great!!! With it, you can sync all your accounts (not just credit cards) in one mouse click.

i think Quicken is the best. it tells you everything that's going on (like mint.com) but it seems that it also will pay your bills automatically for you....which is pretty cool

Is there anything similar to award wallet for credit cards? ive tried mint.com and it doesnt display it as id like it too.

Im basically looking for something that would show each card, its due date, the outstanding balance etc...Then i could log in and see them all on one page...Does this even exist?

I use quicken 2009 I got it a couple of years ago for 30 Dollars on Amazon. I love it, I also have a mint.com account and I like quicken much more, it allows you to do more. Specifically I found annoying on Mint that when you pay a card from a checking account it was very hard to explain that it was a transfer, in quicken it is very simple. Only downside with quicken is that it does not know when your bill is due (at least not in my version) but you can tell it what day of the month it usually falls on and how many days in advance to remind you.
BTW billpay is an added service to quicken, which you have to pay for separately (again, at least in my version).
Edit: I have Quicken Home and Business which allows you to do more (I don't remember the differences) and it usually costs over 50 but I found it for 30.

one of the problems I have with mint is that it doesn't show pending transactions.

Quicken won't either, is this for debit or credit cards? Because even some CC sites won't either show them.
