CC. even the ones that don't show them, at least they show that the total available credit is lower.
its nice to see transactions while still pending as apposed to waiting till it clears

Quicken won't either, is this for debit or credit cards? Because even some CC sites won't either show them.
AMEX and FIA show pending transactions.  Chase and Citi don't.

Where do you see pending transactions (i.e. ones that didn't post to your 'current bill cycle' yet?

(did I understand your question?)

What card can you always see transactions for as soon as they are authorized/charged? I've never seen that.

I know for sure that Chase debit shows you pending transactions, I actually had a card # stolen and was able to see that it was first tested somewhere in CA and then used in IL, all before it posted. When I called to dispute they told me that we would have to wait until it actually posted.

here are two of mine:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AjpWdxXHwDk4dFpadThyQ2cyQnVrMFZRdlVITTk3c3c&hl=en&authkey=CIKurZQI

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AjpWdxXHwDk4dHcyNEtHY2xqUU5YUG8yOGc4bnYtTkE&hl=en&authkey=CPO4354N

and no, i still haven't learned how to link
Thanks so much, that really helps give me a good idea of what i want to do. In mine i would probably make it more detailed including each CC, last four digits of each, exp date, bonus signup points, (and if they were received yet) and date that i closed the CC...

You just have to know where to look.

FIA should be easy.
For AMEX, click on recent activity for the card in question and just above the recent activity items is "view pending charges"

Been there for quite a while now and its a very useful feature.

I don't use my FIA card (why would anyone?...).

I've never noticed it on Amex, good to know. Does it show authorizations too?

AMEX will show temp auth. as well.

Schwab doesn't count, it isn't a real FIA. If I could still get one I probably would.

Sometimes companies just run your card for $1 to see that it's active.

AMEX has those listed as well as regular purchases that are pending.

Right, that's what I meant. It's a regular auth, but it never posts because the company never actually processes the charge.
