Datapoint re: SPG Business Account -

Called twice, zero. Chatted and was given 3k SPG points to keep card open...

Had AF post for both spg bus and personal. Chatted on both. Got 3k bus and 4k personal.

I was able to get the $95 waived the first time the AF hit,

The only option they gave me the second time around was to downgrade to the bronze (1 mile/$2 spend), which I took only to keep my CL high, but is really lame in terms of the offer, they claim they can only waive the AF one time.

I called the retention dept. for
Chase: 800-945-2006
SW pers-I called after the AF posted rep couldn't waive the fee but requested that I be awarded the point value of $69=AF (we'll see what I get)

Amex: 800-452-3945
SPG biz- HUCA'd (chatted) 3-4 times all reps said NO point bonus or waived AF. They said my acct was not eligible at this time. I called # after some time was able to give me $100 Statement credit.

SPG pers- chatted with rep I was offered 500 asked for more substantial bonus supervisor was was able to offer 3k

It seems to me that SPG was more willing to give bonus points on pers over biz

be happy with the 4k spg. Most people are getting 3k these days.

woah, 3k is so little.. Doesn't even cover the $65 AF...

I will try asking and keep everyone posted. It can't hurt to ask a new agent..

With SmallBizSat you should be able to cover AF and then some...

Did you do both at the same time? and do you even use those cards? First agent was willing to give me 1000 spg and additional 500 for $1000 of spend. I don't really use that SPG and she said that that was the offer on her computer screen. I asked for more and then hung up. About to HUCA.

just had the most desperate sounding rep for my citi aadvantage business card that i never use, that only has $1500 CL, gave me 1000 miles to give him till monday to come up with a better offer (wanted to give me the $95 statement credit after spending 3k in 3 months) and when i agreed he told me he wouldn't have slept tonight had i not agreed to give him till monday-lol

AMEX Green card AF was due 10/3 and paid. Can I close within 60 days (after sbs), or can expect so thing worthwhile as a retention bonus?
