My Hawaiian Airlines AF just hit ($89). Retention offer is spend $1k in 90 days for 5k bonus miles or downgrade to the $50 AF version.

get the miles and then call back to downgrade if you need the card. If not just cancel it.

I use the airline very often. The card not so much, but enough to keep it.

Amex platinum personal- 5k plus additional 15k for 3k spend in 90 days. Rep said we will claw back the points if you close the card after the points post. He said that's what pple have been doing. Any reason to believe him?

Any datapoints on Citi Prestige midway through the first year? Do they pro-rate refund the $450 (or $350)? And are there people that have received retention offers despite Citi's lack of a current retention dept?

I had fraud charges on my account. and asked for $60 compensation. they gave that to me.

BGR $100 statement credit. I took it but now thinking I should have tried for more (I see some people got 15k points a few months ago). Oh well, not the worst mistake

Citi Advantage World Elite MC annual fee of $450 came due.
I called and asked about special offers. Nothing available.
But once I said I'm considering closing the account, those are the magic words, and they transferred me to a specialist.
I got the same offer I got last year, namely $50 credit per month x 7 months for spending $1500 each month.
