No option for MR on either card (I asked)

They applied for a new card for you, this is not retention.

i was offered a 50$ statement from amex to keep a card open. the rep said it takes 6-8 weeks to post. does anyone know if that is accurate or does it post sooner? thanks

I finished my spending on Friday and the points posted on Sunday

This isn't technically retention. Barclay's shut down my m&m card, after 4 months. Got them to waive the AF

Amex Everyday Pref Fee came up this week. Called them and told them I was considering moving to the new Chase card (already approved

) and asked if they can waive the fee. Guy put me on hold for a few, came back and said they would credit me for the already charged fee and it would take a billing cycle or 2. Credit hit this morning!
