For Malaysian Airlines (MH) which also aren't part of the *A, there is a surcharge.

And you thought it would be a good idea to have extra ANA miles lying around  ;D
I think Aussie is just trying to lay it on thick so that I am pressured into just giving him all my personal identifying info so he can "call ANA" to inquire, and then he is off to LHR...

and then he is off to LHR...
Maybe he can be the shliach to the LHR Virgin Clubhouse?

I've updated the original post with the new info so we now have a whopping 8 categories of airlines!
I'm assuming ANA doesn't charge a surcharge on UA but if anyone finds out otherwise please post.

We may be on to something. NZ flying AKL-LAX is showing stars (which in all other cases meant no surcharge, I think) and AKL-SYD is showing $115 but on the fare breakdown doesn't show any surcharge.
Want to check on CO, AKL-SYD flying NZ?

Can't search NZ on CO.com.
What dates did you check for? $115 sounds slightly on the high side to me but I can call.

Tap (TP) does have a surcharge.
Air China (CA) does have a surcharge.

Except for Jet Airways and Etihad, any that are still missing?
