I remember finding somewhere on this thread that there was a shul that had some sort of restaurant during the summer months. Any leads?

Good news for the San Diego area residents and visitors who lost the Grille Restaurant a couple of months ago. Owner Benny Behar will be doing "The Summer Grille" at Beth Jacob Congregation starting this Sunday, Father's Day, June 21 through August 28th. Perhaps with an overwhelming response, Benny will stay open. Hours: 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm Last seating 8:30 pm. It will be a very simple menu. Steaks, Gourmet Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken Sandwiches, Salad Bar & Kids menu. Located at 4855 College Ave, San Diego, CA 92115

Anyone went to Moishe's Grill at Beth Jacob
How is the food?
Is there a long wait to get food?

I was there the food is great. Get there early- i got there at 6:30 and they had 2 steaks left, not a long wait

Fairmont grand Del Mar or park Hyatt aviara?

Fairmont will cost me about an extra $300 (guaranteed a bigger room though)
Which would you choose?

I booked the Hyatt Grand Manchester Penthouse deal for Jan. and noticed another member booked overlapping dates and claimed he booked it as well. Is it possible they have more than 1 Penthouse suite?

Anyone else book this deal? Heading out Jan.

also very decent sushi prepared. when busy its prob not worth it to wait for their burger or hot dog/deli platters u ask for on special order at the counter and just take a package of potato salad, other leafy salads, and their rotiseree or fried chicken packages.

Full takeout like you'll find at any other store. When we were there for shabbos we got everything from salmon-gefilta fish to chicken. Really a great takeout

Anyone know of any decent hotels between LA and SD? I'm looking at a flight that gets into LAX pretty late and I don't wanna drive all the way to SD, but I'd like to get part of the way there.

Too close to SD, at that point I might as well drive all the way to SD. I was thinking more in the area between Carlsbad and Irvine. I know there are hotels in both of those areas, which I guess would be last resorts.
