Topic Wiki

This is the thread where you can ask any random question you have. Feel free to ask even the most basic questions that you otherwise might be embarrassed to ask. This is the thread for beginners, so veterans here will treat you nicely. Ask a beginner's Q in some other threads and no guarantee of that same treatment. ;)
People here want to help, so just have some patience, follow the tips below and hopefully someone will help you when they have a chance.

If you looking for a particular thread you once saw and can't find it, this is not the place to ask. Check out Help Me Find It and ask there.

How to ask a question in this thread:
Click the blue reply button at the top or bottom of the page, type your question, and click post!

Some helpful tips for eliciting answers from other members:
- Keep your question short and precise. No one wants to read a megillah.
- The more questions you ask in one post, the less likely any will be answered. People are willing to answer a question or two, but if you ask all the questions that apply to your particular issue, you're expecting to be spoonfed. Members don't like holding out the spoon, so ask accordingly.

You can make payments in the middle of the month and in order to spend more than your CL.

Thanks.

Is it better to use a Target CC when shopping in Target or a different card?

I use it for larger purchases to get 5% back sometimes, otherwise I stick to my other cards.

My wife signed up for the Target CC so i dont know what the benefits are. When do you get 5% back? What card would be best in Target? Usually dont spend much there maybe $100-$200 a month.

Not sure which card you have (or what different cards they offer) but I believe all their CC's offer 5% back everyday.

If you're making a very small purchase,  you may be better off with using freedom card. But in general,  your right.

I think wigs aren't covered by any of the banks, are they? I'd probably stick with an American Express though.

1. Just transfer them to freedom. You can leave them as UR there

2. Everyone is diff but mine kicked in the 12th month (i signed up last feb so this feb i got my 7%) but sm them.

3. Its a bit of a machlokes. Some say downgrade and sign up for a new one, this way they won't hack you why u need 2 sp's. but some say just use it as leverage.
thanx
i just checked my statement and i see i got in feb the 7% from the last year - a little over 5k ! awesome

Has anyone here ever had issues with merging two PRIORITY CLUB accounts that each got the sign-up bonus?

They are not like amex. If you close the oldest card then you lose that age.
