how was it? Any advice on ordering the Kosher food on the Europe cruises? Did your cruise include Shabbos?
Most of kosher frozen meals were mediocre . The peper steak, eggplant parmagon, soups and deserts were surpisingly good. There were plenty of fruits and vegetables. Many people order fish (salmon, talapia, sea bass) which they triple wrap but ask your Rabbi. There were plenty of breakfast options such as bagels, lox, cream cheese and cereals. We found some other products with an hashgacha such as Udi's gluten free cookies that were delicious. We also brought our own dressings ans spices for salads. There are more options on cruises originating in the US but we didn't go hungry.
Our cruise was Sunday to Sunday so we were on the ship for Shabbos. On Friday night We had dinner before the zman so they heated up the food for us before Shabbos. For lunch they brought food that didn't require heating to our cabin and we had the meal on our balcony.
All in all, it was an amazing experience. An upscale cruise is one of the best vacations you can do and definitely the best value. People on DDF are not into it since you can't get it with points and miles but you can easily sell a few points to pay for it!
