WWYD Camera Speeding Ticket in Vienna
« on: January 24, 2024, 06:12:33 PM »
Registered letter with return ticket still attached delivered to my address after wandering about the country. Letter from Austrian police asking me to confirm who was driving the rental car at the time the camera flashed.
No amount or fines on the letter.
Answer or ignore?

If you plan to drive in Austria again (or in countries they're sharing information with) you better pay.

There's always a chance the rental car company will pay and they may or may not forward the charges to you, but you wouldn't want to be on a country's black list

There is nothing to pay at this point, it is a letter asking for the name of the driver.
They have no proof it was delivered to me.
