I asked if there was any offer that utilized credit card miles. This was in July.

I was told I can sign up for a citi cc spend 10k on it plus book two rt aa flights. Do I need to actually go on those flights? Does it have to be rt, what about 4 different flight segments? Tx

i have approx 200k AA miles that expired back in December. for some reason i miscalculated the expiration date and now they're giving me the following 2 options:

Option #1: pay a $600 reinstatement fee
Option #2: complete the re-engagement challenge with "all" of the following 3 activities completed: #1) pay a $30 registration charge, #2) subscriebe to AA Advantage eSummary and AAdvantage promotions email, #3) complete 2 round trip flights "AND" earn an additional 10k partner base miles (i.e. AA credit card purchases)

anyone with experience here? do i actually have to fly or can i purchase 2 round trip cheap tickets and just not showing up at the flight?

 Thanks!

Anyone know the quickest/easiest way to keep 235K from expiring on May 5? I would just get a magazine, but I don't want to kill a nice round number...

Would that post before the miles expire? I don't want to deal with reinstating them.

From the date the purchase posted. At least that's how it works everywhere.

Buy magazines then use shopping portal to refill to exact number.

AFAICR it's 2,500 minimum unless you have status with SPG.
