I just heard about this was wondering if it’s true. Is walking from Ridge and county line to New Hampshire and Rt 88 outside the Techum Shabbos ?

R Uren Reich used to walk to his Yeshiva when it was in Woodlake, maybe ask him how he did it

According to my personal conversations with R Shmuel Kaminetsky and R Shlomo Miller it is fine. That is how R Forscheimer and R SM Katz pasken as well. They would send you me or who I went through it with.

It’s been a while since I went through the inyan; from what I recall it has to do with two Ribuas (squares of cities) that intersect; there are varying opinions, proofs from the yerushalmi, etc. Some of Lakewood’s poskim view it as a problem, others are lenient as mentioned. Some techum issues in Lakewood actually have to do with how to view Lake Carasaljo. Last I looked it seemed from a satellite view that rather than being a keshes, the shape was favorable to consider the area “shelosha kefarim meshulashim” according to the vast majority of opinions, which would eliminate any techum issues in most of the main part of Lakewood...

There are five different ways to connect the two sides of the lake and even without connecting there are ways to go pretty far south
