On the cRc list. They are very small. I think they certify both Chalav Yisrael and Stam.

Depends for what specifically.
Definitely no PY/CY requirement.

Best (one of the only) "local eatery" is the deli inside the Leewood Henhouse supermarket. Great fried chicken.

I was there in August the only thing they has was a bagel store and takeout counter at local market

I'm doing some research for an upcoming trip overseas, trying to find out what is OK without a hechsher. Here are two sites I came across. The second site specifically mentions EVOO, but it is not on the first list. Thoughts?

I'ts definitely come up in the news plenty of times that not all 100% olive oil was actually 100% olive oil. But before that it was always some people recommended it without certification and others didn't.

When relying on a hechsher for it you would need to know what the hechsher's opinion is about that.

I never really understood this. Does this mean that the CRC would blindly bless anything JSOR? So basically if I am comfortable with crc I may as well eat jsor?
Or are they just saying that they know that the organization is generally mainstream orthodox?

The fried chicken is incredible, but the ribs and sushi are great as well.

There are some specific requirements of standards to be approved

generally it works as follows: they don't an audit (or one of the other big 5 do an audit), prepare a report and analyze it. They not approve 100% on 100% of places checked but it's gotta be pretty close.
