I posted this in the SPG cash and points thread, but figured this would be a more appropriate place for it.

I have The Westin Copley Boston for march 27 and 28 booked with cash and points before the changes.

If anyone is interested, pm me.

I'm stopping over in BOS for 5 hours. Trying to decide if it's worth going into the city for food/activities. Which (if any) restaurants deliver? Any quick activity that's worth hitting up? Thanks!

Sure is, freedom trail and Sam Adams brewery are both under 20 minutes from the airport.

I'm planning a 2 day trip to Boston.
1. What are my best SPG hotels?  (the Liberty-which seems to be the best is booked  :( )
2. Where to leave my car? From reading Dan's TR it seems that all food is a drive into the Brookline community. Am I better off leaving my car downtown and taking the light rail?

no, plenty of parking by food. I think there's a nice Westin downtown, try to hit up the basketball hall of fame on way there or back, very cool

If by adults, you mean a couple, Boston Common is a gorgeous park.

It seems that I am left with a choice between the W & Sheraton Boston. Or 1 night at  those  and one night at The Liberty- is the Liberty worth switching to mid trip?
Also, between the W & Sheraton, what's better?

there's only one Sheraton in Boston proper-downtown.
Can you explain what was horrible about your stay?

Any recommendations between some of Boston's top SPG properties - the Westin Copley, the W Boston and The Liberty Hotel?

The Liberty deff. seems nicest based on tripadvisor. I just snagged 2 free nights  there for 24k, though I also have the Westin Copely and W booked.

The Liberty does look the nicest - but any insight into the best location between the three for typical Boston tourism sights?

based on g-maps The Liberty seems to be the best for that too. Seems to be walking distance to a the navy yard science museum
and all downtown attractions.

Definitely a nice location (although in the heat it may be a little far to walk, but definitely closer than the other ones

Thanks guys! Every Boston tourism site I was reading was raving about being near Copley Square. From looking around Google maps, I wasn't buying it.

For good reason, they're right.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, the best part of Boston no longer exists. The Harpoon people used to have a free beer "tasting" where you basically came and drank beer. A lot of beer. And it was the good expensive lines also.
But now they got too popular, so there's a tour which costs 5 dollars you have to go on, and then you don't get nearly as much beer.

Sam Adams also has a tour for 2 dollars, and you drink a couple beers, but not the cool ones.
