Has anyone stayed at the Crowne Plaza (Newton)? I combined the Daily Getaways deal for Priority Club points with the PointBreaks on that hotel, netting me 3 nights for $90. Plus, I did it with a Platinum account, though it probably won't get me anything extra. It seems pretty close to food and minyan, but not so much to everything else. Also, are there any attractions worth driving to, maybe allowing us to do 2 days walking/public transportation and 1 day driving around?

Go whale watching if you can. It's about 45 minutes away and there's a groupon. Remember to make sure there's room in advance!

A friend whose wife has family in Boston and goes often also put whale watching at the top of his list. But I probably should have mentioned we're going with a 20 month old and a 3 month old.

Any good ideas of what to do in Boston for a day?
Flying (with Avios) from NYC to BOS arriving at 9:25 am,
then flying to TLV at 6:30 pm.
Basically what can I do from 10:00-4:00?

Beer breweries? Samuel Adams, harpoon etc. (not sure if that interests you at all)

If you're talking about being there in the near future (as opposed to the spring or summer), you're going to want to stay away from biking, nature, etc. Not to mention the fact that Boston is not exactly known for that type of thing. A lot of the attractions are historical, and there are plenty of museums. What constitutes 'interesting' in your book?

Besides Sam Adams, I did:

Fenway tour - liked it, but it really depends on your interest level in the sport
NE Aquarium - pretty good, but not a great 'value' given the prices
Duck tour - also pretty good, but I imagine a lot of the enjoyment was due to great weather
Freedom Trail tour - it was pay what you want, liked it but again might not be as enjoyable in winter weather
USS Constitution - ship itself was good, museum was even better
Boston Common - just walked around the gardens, nothing special

I'm going to be taking a flight from BOS tomorrow night, any suggestions for a good place to eat supper first.
Not looking for a high class sit down restaurant, just some good food

Rubins and get a burger.  Get the firehouse burger.
Alternatively, Rami's and get Mediterranean food.
I prefer rubins.

Also, there is no such thing as a high class sit down restaurant in BOS, lol.
