Having the main cardholder call up the company has worked for me in the past...

being removed as an AU takes its off your credit report completely or comes up as a closed account?

if your saying the primary cals the bank and says to cancel the au card then it shows on cr as card closed.
What i have done in the past is call the cr and say as an au i am not financially liable for the card, so it shouldn't be on my account. both for open and closed au cards this has completely removed them.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I am no good with DDF search.

Amex AUs:
If I am primary on my Amex Plat, and I add myself as AU with my SSN, will I see another new AU account show up on my CR? I know that normally if I add my wife as AU on my personal Amex, another account will show up on her CR. Wasn't sure about self AUs.

Thanks

As in self AUs on personal cards with self SSN has not shown up on CR? Does it matter if it's credit or charge card?

Don't know about charge. My assumption always was that on your CR it shows up as an account number. Which is the same with amex for all AU's. That's why it would get merged automatically.

I don't think that is true. My wife as AU has different account number than my primary account on my EX report.

Because its a different name possibly. I have tens of AU's with my own name and not one ever showed up on my CR

Ah ok. For those AU names, you use slight variations of your primary name? Or do you keep them exactly the same?

How long since u added them? It can take months to show up.

They all show up. Except business
I've had over 100 amex accounts on my cr.

I had the same problem a week ago, couldn't figure it out and both chat and phone reps were no help.
it only let me add one card and then I got that error message. What did you end up doing?
