I added a few AUs to each Amex account I have. However, it seems that I mistakenly added the same family member twice to one Amex Gold account. She got two cc's, with different numbers, under the same account. Is it a problem for her to register them separately and use them?

I know there is another au thread but I can't find it.
Has anyone tried using real ss #'s for their kids who are too young to have a cc.  Would that work?  I have gotten a few letters recently requesting missing #'s.  I hope they're not trying to crack down.

I was told this week by a rep that they can overnight AU cards only if the AU's ss# is on file.

I have no idea if he made that up or not. Just mentioning it as a data point.

Chase don't recognize authorized users at all.
100% wrong. Explain how someone gets a Chase card with only being AU's on other cards? Instant approval to boot!
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

When human eyes look at it of course it is different. The trick is when someone is just starting out you want instant approvals. Adding AU's works great for this with all CC issuers including Chase. Once you get a few cards in your own name then let the games begin. This is not a sprint but a marathon. No more lessons today young grasshopper.  :)
