Amex in the T&C's state they can hold the AU responsible for the AU's charges.
Just wondering, even if they had his SSN, how can they hold him accountable if he never agreed to anything?

You sure about that? They can get someones full ss from a soft pull??

Anyways, if the AU doesn't live at the same address as the primary holder, how will they have thr AU's info in order to do the soft pull?
Not 100%.

There are tons of databases then can pull info from. Don't underestimate them.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Good question. My guess is when you sign and use the card you are agreeing to the T&C's that came with it.

This all sounds ridiculous. If some random guy becomes an AU on a credit card. If his SS was not supplied, there's NO way to track him...you cant do a credit pull on somebody who has no credit.
Classic Example: Non-Resident Alien. They have a card. No SSN. No credit. No record they even exist.....Pretty Simple

Does an authorized user have potential to drag down the primary users credit if he/she subsequently gets other cards in their own name (due to getting history by joining your account for some months) and uses them irresponsibly. Would like to help some relatives earn a history but don't want problems down the road if they hurt their own credit later on. Furthermore is it better to add on users to Amex cards spread out over time? What's pace to add on without triggering F/R ( they won't be using cards just will have them by me to establish history for them). I have multiple Amex cards.

I remember reading somewhere about some cards have a fee to add an AU, can I add an AU ( or 2 ) on my SPG without any fees?
And will their spendings count to reach the 25k in 6 months?

I just got in the mail the 2 cards for the au that I added to my SPG account, when I tried to set up these 2 cards online I got a msg that I can't have these cards linked to my online account I goto create a separate user name & pass, any idea what exactly this is? Is the spg different then other ones or what?
