IMHO it only worked for auto approvals and could have been a glitch. If the system denies you based on the max card rule, CSR's can't overwrite it either.

Any way to get around when they ask for a letter from your bank confirming your address?
sent them one, but it's missing... banker details, bankers phone #...

I am told by agents that the manuel recon team doesnt take customer calls and i cannot be transferred to them

i applied for 6 cards on a shot.

Amex plat
Amex everyday preferred
Delta gold
Delta plat
Delta business plat
Delta business gold

got approved for 5

not for the Delta business gold

called in, rep send it to Reconsideration Dept.

Applied yesterday  for Amex Delta card was told to call because they have some questions.(closed)....today applied for the amex plat and got approved instantly.
When I called Amex Recon to get the delta approved they told me I have to wait 5 days because if got approved for one card system automatically makes you wait. I called 3x and they keep on saying the same thing.
I really didn't want to wait because I wanted to transfer my other credit limit to this Delta card before my AF 30 days!

'Just Huca'd again and they are adamant that since one was approved I have to wait the 5 days because they would have to check my credit report again and they can't check for 5 days after 1 application???
I guess will have to try tomorrow when I assume I won't be transferred to some Indian Call center

I have called some 7x and they are adamant that once an application was approved after the initial application there is no way they can approve it before 5 days. I should call  back on day 6....

You obviously should have a reason why they should make an exception.

They are pretty adamant that the computer locks it on hold and they cannot do anything as it has to wait the 5 days so that they can order another credit report (for fraud and because of being approved on another application).

If got declined for to many apps on credit report and high utilazation etc. is it worth pushing through or will just cause f/r?
