I applied for an Amex card about 4 days ago and was instantly approved. Yesterday I got a letter in the mail saying that I was approved and in order to open the card they moved over some credit from another Amex card of mine. Had never seen that before although I'm happy they did it themselves rather than me having to call in to ask to transfer the credit.

I had the same exact thing when I applied for a new Amex card 2 months ago. They split my credit line in half and sent new card without even notifying me

I just got a personal card in an AOR on April 27th when I had previous personal with Amex and it had the member since date for the older card stamped on the front, but I got biz cards for the first time and they had 2015 stamped on the front. I'm still waiting to see the open date when they hit the credit report ...

it will say that member since date, but wont report to the credit bureaus as such.

I got declined, & I called in they said that they are going to send it for a review. Is there a way to make them review it while on the phone with them? (That way i can beg...)

Cant find the number for recon. Looked on forums. I currently have SPG, everyday preferred, and biz plat, signed up today for everyday card and blue cash. Both were denied. Advice please... Thanks

My wife was previously shut down from amex because a lack of proof of funding (2-3 years ago). Could she apply now ( 100k plat over the phone) ( maybe a 2bm)?

Shut down meaning declined for an approval or accounts closed?

Hi!
I did a 4bm for four business cards.. Two were approved, two pending.
Called today and they said to call back on fifth day but they will then pull my credit again. And five days after as well for the fourth.. Is that true?

I dont how this is possible within their new policy, I actually had an issue with the 5th day additional HP too, but I just pulled off a 5bm with all 4 flavors of delta and the MB Plat
