I guess this is recon. I chatted with amex to close my spg personal and move cl to blue card. she said she submitted request and it has to be reviewed. I got a letter that is denied because the spg card credit line is too new. Anybody have this before? Any way around it? Should I call up?
maybe try sm

Amex recon for business spg told me I had too many products. This even though I have multiple businesses with them.

He told me to close some cards, but even then couldn't guarantee approval. Wouldn't do it for me, said had to call CS, close cards, wait 48 hrs and call back to attempt it.

Is this normal for Amex?
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

They have a new 4-card policy (not including charge cards).

That's across business and personal (or multiple businesses)?

AFAIK, it's all-inclusive. CMIIW.

I applied for the delta business card and it was rejected because I had too many cards open.  Like others here I closed a card and they sent it for approval.  It has been pending for almost two weeks now and every time I call they tell me to just sit tight >:(
It's good to see others here have had similar experience צרת רבים חצי נחמה

Called Amex reconsideration , they put me on Hold and then explained why it was declined!
I asked if there is any way to take a deeper look and consider an approval , THEY SAID THEY WILL SUBMIT IT FOR RECONSIDERATION .
IS THIS NORMAL? OR IT WORKS LIKE CHASE WITH SPEAKING TO A ACCOUNT LENDER AND DISCUSS IT WITH THEM

It's normal, but do another pull and most likely not approve you, unless you offer to close/transfer credit.

Amex Reconsideration
« Reply #89 on: July 10, 2013, 07:07:15 PM »
hi,

i recently applied for a SPG card and got denied. when i called the reconsideration line, i was told there was nothing to discuss because i was denied and that if i wanted a different answer i would have to have another credit pull. is there any way to get my got approved, once declined, without having another pull on my credit?
