I applied for the delta business card and it was rejected because I had too many cards open. Like others here I closed a card and they sent it for approval. It has been pending for almost two weeks now and every time I call they tell me to just sit tight

Called Amex reconsideration , they put me on Hold and then explained why it was declined!
I asked if there is any way to take a deeper look and consider an approval , THEY SAID THEY WILL SUBMIT IT FOR RECONSIDERATION .
IS THIS NORMAL? OR IT WORKS LIKE CHASE WITH SPEAKING TO A ACCOUNT LENDER AND DISCUSS IT WITH THEM

It's normal, but do another pull and most likely not approve you, unless you offer to close/transfer credit.

i recently applied for a SPG card and got denied. when i called the reconsideration line, i was told there was nothing to discuss because i was denied and that if i wanted a different answer i would have to have another credit pull. is there any way to get my got approved, once declined, without having another pull on my credit?

I need help with this situation.

I did an amex 2bm last week. Both went pending. They called about one to verify info and accepted me. The second was still pending for 4 days when I decided to freeze exp. Less than an hour after I froze it I receive an email from amex with a decision. The deicion states unable to pull my credit report because it's frozen, please call us. Should I call them and give them the pin? I don't want a second pull.

i just did a 3bm spg per/biz and brg, instant approval on spg personal and brg, spg biz was pending, i called and was told that they got duplicate requests, because it was 2 biz cards and for security reasons they can only give me a decision in 4 days, what is that all about?

Cancelled if they think its a duplicate or they can't verify your identity immediately etc.
