CMIIW, but doesn't cancelled also mean that they did not pull your CS?
You're wrong   ;D
Get a pull even if you canceled. As soon as you apply for credit your CR is pulled.

Citi is the only one I know of that will not pull your CR if you submit too many apps.

Just did a 2bm for SPG per and biz. Per was approved immediately and for the biz it told me to call xxx-xxx-xxxx at customer care.  They actually only wanted to verify that it is was not fraud as the two apps came in at once, and they will let me know by tomorrow if it is approved.
Do I wait for a response or do call recon now?.

Without anyones advice I went with the Gemma advice שב ואל תעשה
Got a response via email today that I was denied cause my experian report was frozen (for a citi app I did that same day).
So I called recon and after being told that it will result in an additional pull I asked if they can pull my eq report instead, and the answer was a very clear "NO". In the end with a additional experian pull I was approved for the business card.

Did a 2BM, SPG and Delta Gold.  Approved immediately for SPG, pending for Delta.  Called and they said because simultaneous apps, it's on hold for four days.  HUCA, the rep asks, "Did you just call about this?"....

Saw the questions many times but didn't really see an answer - what's the best course of action to take when a card is on the "four day hold" and you don't want another pull?

Thanks!

Go to americanexpress.com/myappstatus and follow the link to receive emails with updates, and then you will be notified once approved/denied. There is no need to call as it has not be looked at yet.
Be aware it will be an additional pull on your credit report.

Any way to stop app or take other action to prevent the second pull?

A. Put a credit freeze on your experian report (if NY...) on till you get denied, but it will cost you $5.

I have a card saying as "In progress" for over a week already.

Any plausible explanations?
I never called.

Took me 3 weeks from 'in progress' to approved.
You can try calling, sometimes they just want to verify you applied.

Same here. I called and they said that happens when there is more than one app at a time but it will go through the regular approval process within a week. No credit pull yet.

My wife they actually got back to within a couple of days.

Interesting.
They denied my wife based on they could not access her (freezed) experian report, I had no choice but to unfreeze it after trying to have them pull her EQ or TU instead.
Do you know which report they pulled?

They pulled Experian. One pull for 2 apps on the same day. 20 minutes apart. They couldn't have pulled today "again" even if they wanted.

1. How did they pull ex if you put a freeze on it?
2. Why can't they pull it "again" today?
