Thank you!
I reached out to the Shaliach there, he suggested ordering food from one of the locals in Wolfsburg. I am a bit uncomfortable doing that....

Thanks!!!

There is a shul there in Wolfsburg, http://www.zentralratdjuden.de/de/topic/59.gemeinden.html?gemeinde=107 ..

Aren't you first landing in another city like Frankfurt or Berlin, where you can easily stock up?

Firstly thank you!
Yes I landed in Frankfurt however I had to leave directly from airport to a meeting so no time to stop locally. For anyones future reference the email address to the Chabad Shaliach in Hanover is info@chabadhannover.de . They put me in touch with a Jewish local in Wolfsburg who offered to provide kosher food for any travelers there. Her contact info is below:

I'd go to Strasbourg  :)
Bit of a drive tough, but beautiful and plenty of kosher restaurants

Strasbourg wouldn't work  - as the 3 hour Porsche rental is limited to 150km. (Think one gets an hour grace period if you have Amex Platinum)

One can go visit Baal Shem Michelstadt though, about 72km away.  (Am Stadion 1, 64720 Michelstadt, Germany  )

Source for grace period?
Wish there was a way to go over the 150. Can eat through that in no time cruising the autobahn at 200kph.

Any reason to go to the rebuilt Rashi's shul? Could pull off Sohar and that in 150kms.

Bah. http://sohars-restaurant.com/en/
"From 14.07.2016 until 06.08.2016 our restaurant is closed due to holidays."

So there's no place to eat in FRA it seems.

You could go over 150km, you then just pay €0.99 euro per km.

No reason to visit the shul, other than it being the sight of the miracle as it's the building that bowed in for Rasi's mother while he was in her womb. A German wanted to run her over with his horse, and the wall miraculously bowed in so she could save herself with her unborn son.

What's worth visiting there is the cemetery: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_Cemetery,_Worms

Maharam M'Rottenberg and the Maharil are buried there.

Looking at an 8 hour layover plus a 2 hour flight to FCO after that.
Maybe I'll just do the 2.5 hour layover and skip the Porsche.

Extend your layover, get a 24 hour Porsche rental, go to Heidelberg and then Worms. I see people that fly in from
New York to Frankfurt, they go to Baal Shem Michelstadt's kever, and then a few hours later right back to the airport to
fly back to New York.

The Rashi shul was destroyed on Kristallnacht, and was rebuilt in 1960s. So it's not the original 1000-year old shul, just
the cemetery there is the heimishe attraction.
