flawed spg logic
« on: February 08, 2010, 09:13:40 PM »
ok now i know that even before i start i am down one point for starting with spg :P
now this idea is probably just correct in theory  for most of us, since none of us will use cash and points vs. points
but here goes it is most profitable with a category 4  4000 points and $60 or 10k points
now if the hotel has in house redemption points it goes for 13.33 per 1000 points if you use points to pay for the cash part it will cost you only 8500 points
now most of you are probably thinking this guy is insane $13 for 1k points not worth it. correct . but hey some people would rather pay 10k points than have to shell out money our pockets
i think for some this may even make them feel more Jewish :o
(the hotel is only supposed to use the points for in house charges but i know someone who tried this and it worked maybe it varies with the level of education of the employee and property)
