Flying into Vietnam
« Reply #6 on: November 05, 2012, 04:30:32 PM »
Anyone know which cities in 'north' Asia have direct flights into Vietnam with the OneWorld alliance, so Avios can be used?
For example, I can find Hong Kong to HAN on Dragon Air for 9k rt + $70 of fees.

Any other ideas from Korea, Japan, China...?

Shouldn't this be in the restaurant thread :P
Though seriously; if you're traveling to Nam I don't think you have too many options....

Haven't been there but I find it hard to imagine that it would be soooo bad that you have to shlepp food from the US.

Hmm...Burn Jetsetter credit for 2 nights here with a private pool, but be a 25 minute taxi to the chabad house: http://www.jetsetter.com/hotels/vietnam/ho-chi-minh-city/2777/an-lam-saigon-river?nm=serplist&cl=2&ca=view-more

Or use 2 Hyatt anniversary certs here and be walking distance to chabad?

I would take the PH

Pics of that 'hotel' look like they are overrating the place.

Just make sure you get to NZ before moish :D

Forgot to say, both are rated #1 on TR:

Does that change anything?

Don't have the time to do NZ.  Thinking of 3 nights in SIN and 2 nights anywhere nearby with kosher food, which is why SGN came to mind. Have a better suggestion?
