Already spent and since it comes I wanted to know.
Plat card has the fee which for the life of me I can't come to terms with regardless of the airline credit and lounge access, I don't really fly that often.
you can cancel
The card and keep the status for a year and not pay the AF. Also the points you get are worth far more than the AF if you want to keep the card for a year.

Have you checked out other status possibilities with that level of spend? Jetblue Mosaic @ $50K, Marriott Platinum (and with it SPG and United Silver) @ $75K  come to mind.

Seems like you need to the ritz card for that which also has a huge fee?
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Wish SPG had that. Spend $30k for Gold, $75k for Platinum. At least you get points worth 3 times the amount for the same amount of spend.

Not worth spending 75k on marriott card vs spending it on the spg card imo.

But you have $300 in airline credit, so the AF is only around $150

The travel credit is almost as bad as on the AMEX platt
(Horrible compared with the CSR)

Seems that's the consensus over here.

I don't travel often to make it worth it

In all likelihood you won't receive the bonus whether or not you change the SPG number.

Unless SSN is different (spouse's business etc).

Its a different tax ID number. My question is just if a different business needs a different spg account to get the bonus?

Different EIN doesn't make a difference if you used same SSN.

Bonus is per SSN? Can't have 2 different businesses and get bonus for both with same SSN?

Gets targeted for a different set of Amex offers and spend promos. More of a difference rather than a benefit.

What would be the key differences between the two? I'm wondering which i would gain the most from
any chance there's a sign up bonus coming anytime soon?
Sign up for both

This card and it’s bonus will disappear
Maybe in 2018
