I missed that part.

So Essentially $100 unless you go a hotel.

That sucks :(

Even if you aren't staying at one, a drink at the bar can qualify, making it fairly simple.

Memories last forever, make them while you can.

Maybe I missed it, but has it been mentioned that the spg biz amex will earn 4x Marriott points on business expenses including gas and restaurants? There are probably better options for restaurants, but for gas that seems decent

so why did they take away the regular 25000 point bonus
Probably just to avoid confusion with the transition.

According to DOC they'll only be issuing the personal card until 2019

not sure if this is right thread but just got retention bonus for spg spend $500/one month, get 7,000 spg points. thought that was better than spend 2k in three months for $75. if there is a better thread to post this in, please advise

AF just hit on the Biz SPG card. any reason to keep this card at this point for $95?
The way I look at it, I won't be getting the free night benefit, as the renewal is prior to Aug 1st.

Will you not make use of it in the future?
Don't get useful AMEX Offers as well?
Did you call retentions?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Don't really use the card to be honest, nor have I used any of the Amex offers in quite a while.
I did not call retentions, so that def should be the first avenue to pursue.

You will be getting the free night benefit April 2019.

All things considered, to me a free night certificate at a 35,000 property is worth the $95.

There's a good chance AmEx may offer you some retention (unless this isn't your first renewal and you got a retention last year.)

Give them a call and see what they say.

Trying to figure out if anyone experienced this issue before.

6 months ago, I referred 2 family members to the Amex SPG Biz card through the official referral program (i.e. I submitted their name / email address on the referral site, and they got the email and applied through it). They both were instantly approved for the card.

Its been over 6 months, but I never received the referral bonus?
Just curious if this is a known issue, and a hassle to fight with Amex to get the points due.
