taxi daka90, beware + punish the criminal

I took a short while ago from the Sorozkin area a a daka90 taxi to the airport.

They told me that the taxi would be there in 10 mins, but I was down after 5.

After 15 mins wait, I give them a call, and they said they are coming soon.
After yet another 15 mins, they said that they were there, but didn't see anyone (plain lie).

I told them that I have very little time, as my plane is leaving soon.

A couple of calls and 45 mins too late, he finally arrived, and we left to the airport.

I asked the driver to rush, but he had to use up his newly acquired free mins on his phone, so he called anyone, and was the whole way on the phone, and not really driving fast.

There was traffic on the way, and I arrived less than 60 mins to take off.

When I initially called to order, I asked the price, and they said 150nis, but this guy decided he wants 200 nis.

I said I don't mind giving a tip, but he cannot demand more than I was told it costs.

I gave him 160nis, and left the taxi to pick my two carryons in the boot, and the taxi just started driving. I ran back to the front, and he said that if I don't give him 200 nis right now, he drives off with my luggage.

Normally he would have not have gotten away with it, but I did not want to miss my flight, so I just paid...

The drivers name is Reuven Toobool (or you can read it Tobol).

By the tone of the people picking up the phone, I know, I can forget a compensation, or eeven a 50nis refund.

I thought it would be a good idea if whoever calls them to order a driver, to specify, Ani lo rotse Reuven Tobol, hoo Ganav !!!

That's the only way I believe to get them to put this guy on his place.

I had only good experiences with them, I guess you got a real rotten apple there.

I think I might request him especially, as normally no one manages to rip you off, so he is sort of a hero....

I didn't even see a registration, or ID of any kind.
I applied a trick to get his name.

Not the first time i've heard something like this.
Next time you can use a reputable taxi comp. like Bar Ilan or Ramot Allon they both charge 150 Nis, and have customer service.

You could of paid him and while unloading from the taxi called security over and made a ruckus.

You have nothing to lose to complain, in addition try the ministry of tourisim they take this seriously, they know the israeli  mentality.

Also the name is always found on the side next to the door with the drivers i.d. number, in addition every taxi is labeled with I.D on the outside for precisely this reason.

Here's my story:

After waiting for the driver to call me for 15mins, I called them saying that I'm flying and don't wan to miss my flight.
Apparently I didn't even have a reservation on their system...

So they sent me another driver from Giv'at Ze'ev...
He called me to say that he'll be by me in 10 mins (to Yirmiyahu!). After 5 mins he calls me that he's stuck in traffic and won't make it...

So they sent me again another driver...
He arrived within 5 mins and made it to the airport in about 20 mins.
At least he understood me and he gave the guy in the office a piece of his mind, telling me that 'המסדר הוא חמור' (the organizer is a chamor!).

Also about the payment they always try to get more money as they only get send by Daka99 but don't work for them.

ps I know where their office is if you want to do some damage...

Thanks, I always find the ID#, so either he placed something over it, or I don't know...

When I smell trouble, I first take a pic of it, which normally changes their ideas.

It happened on Monday.

Their number is 036868888 (there is also a jerusalem # which I don't find right now).

I was too busy catching the flight that day, and was in roaming for a few days, hence my delay in bringing it up.

Just got off the phone with them, they used to. Now they charge 180 at night and possibly 150 by day, go figure...
