Ways to Avoid $20 AA Phone Booking Fee

I read that the best way to avoid the $20 per ticket phone booking fee is to reserve something as close as possible to what you can online, and then call and have the change it over the phone, still placing it on hold, and then booking it online.

Has anyone tried this? If I were to do this for a TLV to NYC booking, what flights should I reserve first online?

you book any tkt to TLV online , at least I havent been able to.

generally you can only book online a tkt to a place that AA itself flys to

you mean booking say one month up front, and once ticketed move it back?

how do you make sure to keep your spot on the closer date? Spoof reservation?

hhhmm. you are a big maamin I guess.

however, I managed for the second time to pay $0.00 for my sprint bills, although they wanted $30+ for it, each time.

It kind of makes up for AA.

My monthly charge from now on, shall be iy"h $0.00. for unlimited everything, besides roaming.

You ask them why they don't accept a non-usa zip coded credit card. + you get a special rate,as discussed elsewhere on this forum.
