if Yom Tov ends at 8pm and they are 1/2 an hr away at best must be at gate by 9;15pm , so even if you daven in the room and do Havdullah back in NY. Getting all the bags into the car or cab (if theres a rental car to be returned Forget about it!) checking out. Id still say it will be a very hairy experience

It leaves no room for anything that might pop up, hway construction, car accident, forget a bag at the Hotel or something very important, flat tire etc etc

It might workout but No Way would I ever if I have a choice put myself least my whole family into such a Lousy situation. Id rather loose my deposit and spend more $$ and stay at another program.

As for bags being dropped its an issue that depends on each Carrier and each Airport. Ive dropped of my bags for an Intl flight on CO with 25 mins till departure time, and had AA deny me checkin since it was 2 mins passed their 40 min time limit, DL as well. CO has denied me when I was 3 mins passed their cut-off at PHL

if a person must be on a flight no ifs ands or buts then I wouldnt play it so close, in my opinon its asking for trouble although its very possible none will surface after all is said and done.

Co has a 30 min before shut off time except for 6 or 7 airports where its 40 mins SAN isnt 1 of those, again its doable if everything is done to the min w/o any problems but wont be w/o worry and hassles

how can i confirm that co does require only 30 min from SAN?  is there a phone number/internet site where I can look to confirm...usually calling the national number doesn't have specific for various airports ?

Dan...
for this auto check in...all i have to do is check it off on the way to SAN and its taken care of for the way back?
If so, i can just give them the hotel front desk fax and pick it up on my way out.

Yes, you can give the hotel fax number when you check-in to SAN.

"Domestic flights require bags to be checked at least 30 minutes prior to departure. When traveling from Atlanta, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, Philadelphia, Ponce or Tampa baggage must be checked at least 45 minutes prior to departure."

If I miss the flight (or my luggage wont get on), will they reschedule me for the next day?
Is there any benefit in this regard with booking the ticket on continental's website over any of the others...in terms of missed flights?

People booking on CO have a 1.3% more chance of missing their flights, based on a survey done on caucasian males between 20-30.....

No you shmo...I meant continental's over any other booking website...expedia/priceline/kayak...

Think of the possible connotations before you shoot out a quick ''supreflyer" line.

I got that, I was hoping you asked that by mistake.

you don't want to insult our intelligence here, do you.

Ps: don't take it personal, chuchem will.   :-)

Use this Continental site, it will be impossible to miss your flight after that. http://www.conti-online.com

There's no difference where you book it, if you show up to the airport within 2 hours after the flight they should put you on the next available flight...but no guarantee.

Like I said I'd be glad to hold your fare until the day of departure and you might even get free baggage (the last person I booked for got 2 free bags...still trying to figure out why)

I PMed you last night.
How would i pay for the flight...strongly prefer to use credit card.
Dealbreaker?
Benefit of waiting is just to see if prices come down?

Otherwise that would be great.
