National/Alamo

Anyone have any thoughts on which one is "better" (newer cars, better service, etc.)

Also, since they are under one ownership, do they have the same pool of cars at their joint locations or are they still operated separately? I'm headed to FLL soon and the Alamo rate is significantly cheaper than National, but I have never rented with Alamo before.

alamo in fll is ok just dont expect a free upgrade

I usually use emerald aisle of the other counter-bypass programs so upgrades are not really an option.
