Infant Traveling on another name

I have a ticket for my 16 month girl. Just it was booked under my brothers name. This is on AA. Should I show TSA the ticket with his name and risk them questioning whether Aaron is a girls name? or should I just add an infant to my boarding pass and check the other ticket online, and proceed to board?

In short: Will the gate know whether TSA scanned that boarding pass?

The gate won't know, many people get new boarding passes post tsa anyway.

The TSA don't do anything besides physically write on the BP. They don't log who goes in and out AFAIK. Anyhow, it's fairly common for pax to arrive into the airport on one ticket and leave on a completely different one.
