how long does it take to get the certificates once you meet the spend?

Between 1 and 3 1/2 weeks after statement close.
I paid off the minimum spend requirement on 2 cards (and the payment posted) before the statement closed and received the certificates from both cards within 24 hours after statement the closed.

Does any amount and/or any purchase trigger the $100 statement credit?

Any purchase at a Hilton Family hotel but it seems it doesn't have to be used for sleeping rooms. A DDFer reported he got the credit for meals at the WA Jerusalem that he charged to the card.

Can I get refunded for the AF after a certain amount of time from when it posted if I cancel the card?

WIll you loose the certs if you cancel after spending? or does it stay "banked" in your account?

I don't believe you'll lose the cert although they do have an expiration date.

any point in keeping this card open? I hardly stay at Hilton, signed up for the cert, and want to cancel within 37 days, or is there a benefit in keeping open?

The Gold status is worth it (if you stay) and the yearly cert after spending 10K isn't bad either

I fulfilled the 10k spend for the additional free night. My anniversary just passed and I confirmed with Citi that I am eligible and will be receiving the night within 1-2 billing cycles.

Any idea if I can cancel the card now?
Any experience how long it takes?

Positive. I saw it on my Citi account graph and I called to confirm that I'm now eligible for the night.
I know the SUN are automatic, have you had experience with the 10k night?

We're staying at the Hilton Berlin hotel for 3 nights. Two nights are free sign up nights and one is a paid stay. I'm diamond and we were upgraded to a King executive room.

Our room doesn't have a view and I asked if there were any other rooms available if we paid the difference in points or cash for the upgrade. I also asked about handicap rooms as the tub is high and difficult for my husband to step into. He's had hip and back surgery with the latter done this year and has another surgery scheduled the end of this month.

I was told they were overbooked and no other rooms were available for the nights we're staying. However, the website shows availability. Thoughts?

My husband commented that there were no robes or slippers. I thought it was due to being a lower category but it's on their website. No biggie and I don't want to be one of those Diamond complainers. It's just an observation.

I am wondering about breakfast. I know there's the exec lounge but in some places, people have a choice of the restaurant or the lounge for breakfast. How do you know if there's a restaurant charge or if you can go there instead of the exec lounge?
