Check Dan's trip reports. He used to mention it a lot.

thanks, I had actually tried to find that info before posting here but I looked again and found a reference

from this trip report:
"We check the actual Uppa Baby stroller seat into a floppy luggage bag as it serves no use in the airport."

is there a way to book a ticket for an unborn child? or do I not need to if the infant will be on my lap?

also any restrictions from bringing an infant into business class?

Domestic or international. I think with all airlines you can bring an infant into business with zero issues.
1 or 2 may restrict first class.

International travel q.
When booking a business mileage ticket on LH, should I write that the infant is 2+ instead of 1 1/2?

I'm assuming you plan on paying for the infant?

Just going to bump this. What about booking international mileage ticket for unborn infant? Does the "Unborn Infant" and 1900 birthday work for international travel?

Or, would booking a second ticket under one of the parents work?

Thanks!

So I know as Dan mentioned in a recent post on AC's favorable lap infant policy as most airlines charge 10% of the fare for a lap infant including award flights.  Now for example OW from nyc-tlv is usually very expensive on nonstop flights like over $1500.  So if i book 2 separate one way award flights I will be charged 10% for each way paying a whopping $300! or will they look at it as a round trip and just charge me 10% of the round trip fare which is significantly less?

whats the best way to go about booking a lap infant on a nonstop award flight from nyc-tlv using United or Singapore miles?

In other words will they normally take 2 OW tickets and combine them as a round trip for the purpose of charging the 10% lap infant price?

I'm flying Delta with a 7 month old. Tried to reserve a bassinet but the phone rep said its first come first serve to the gate and cant reserve in advance. Is this accurate, or HUCA?

I thought the day of getting a bassinet seat for a lap infant were over ever since most of those seats all became economy plus seats but today a United rep booked me and DW in economy plus EWR-TLV bassinet seats because she said we were travelling with an infant and we did not have to pay any upgrade fee to economy plus; she said she waived approx $450 :)  She said you are entitled to this if you are travelling with a child up to 24 months!

FYI a local travel agent said that airlines do this for infants up to 9 months old; not sure where she got the 9 month age policy
