looking for something to do today preferably close to Yerushalayim and not to expensive
we went so far to Kever Rachel, Mearas Hamachpela, Kosel,
Yad Vashem, Masada, Yam Hamelach, Rosh Hanikra, Ir Dovid, tour
any ideas
I'm guessing it's too late now, but for next time; Ein Gedi - Qumran, Caesarea - Haifa - Akko (the latter isn't too close though).

Did you do the Ramparts walk? Underground Kosel tour? Have kids who might like Mini Israel or the science museum?

A few years back we did a family archeological dig. I don't remember where but it was near Yerushalayim. It was a lot of fun and memorable.

It is nowhere near Yerushalayim.

Yes I am referring to the sifting. I realize now they weren't.

I was eating by a rav & he mentioned that he got the shailah from an American rav who was here with some congregants, I can't remember what he paskened but I figured it should be mentioned.

The issue is that it's very possible you'll be touching keilim from the beis hamikdash…
