Stroller damaged during flight
« on: August 16, 2012, 08:51:10 PM »
My stroller was damaged (cupholder broke off) during a Jetblue flight. After a phone call and 2 emails back and forth they are telling me that damage to strollers falls under limited liability per the JetBlue Contract of Carriage and as such they will not offer me any compensation. Anything else I can try or just move on?

Def was SPG. Although it was the business card if I'm not mistaken one time. The other time it was platinum. I thought SPG regular covers damage as well. It was also 2 years ago u think they changed it?
I say write a fax to airline tell them it's very upsetting the way their dealing with this.

you think a fax is better than a phone call and emails?

Anyone know if the benefits were changed in the last few years? If yeah I'll call and complain  :)

I love faxing. I send a new fax every day when they don't compensate me accordingly. Almost always results in something. I say it's worth the time to put in. They should at least agree to fix it.

Ya I clearly remember the diff between business SPG n regular was that the business had travel delay at no extra cost. Baggage protection was on the regular SPG. I wonder when that changed!!

It looks like its covered on SPG biz, not personal. (Plus many other cards)

Old thread same question. American Airlines broke my stroller yesterday. Booked on my Chase Sapphire Preferred. Already emailed American Airlines and no response. Started a claim with Chase via a third party company they use. Has anyone been down this road before and able to offer any insight?

Next time don't leave the airport before speaking to someone.  Also if you just emailed yesterday you'll have to wait a bit longer for a response.  Search for email addresses of people higher up? And try Twitter.
