Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 3rd Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 3rd Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 3rd Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

Look as a technician I usually don't recommend any all in one machines, but for some ppl they are very convenient and the specs are nice the only downside is the hard drive is 5900RPM vs the standard desktop hard drive speed of 7200RPM

Aren't touch screens more prone to problems?

I got a sale email from Dell, but don't see many bargains.

My issue with aa-in-one is that if any part breaks you lose a computer AND a screen, also some parts are way more expensive when they break. For example power supply etc

Dell has 25% off all outlet laptops and desktops. You can find some nice deals there. They give you the same 1yr warranty that you get when purchasing new.
I recommend buying either the Outlet New or Scratch & Dent options and to stay away from refurbished they tend to have mnore issues.
