Whats a Desktop Deal:

There are many factors you need to take into account in order to make something a deal. Manufacturer, Product line, Specs and warranty are usually what to look at when figuring that out. You need to consider prices as well, sometimes you get a price so hot that it doesn't matter what company it is.

Generally speaking here are the guidelines for Intel processors:

i3 8th Gen processor - Under $300 is usually a hot deal, Under $350 is decent
i5 8th Gen Processor - Under $400 is a Usually a Hot Deal
i7 8th Gen Processor - Under $600 is a Usually Hot Deal

to be continued....

It's actually a very powerful system
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

your best options are an Dell XPS8900 or Optiplex 3040  make sure it  has intel core I7 and at least 8GB memory
but it will be more in the $700 range as of now.

Thats a total waste of money, an i3 with 8gb of ram is perfectly fine for regular home or office use. If you can get an ssd that would be nice too.

How's this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-pavilion-desktop-intel-core-i7-8gb-memory-2tb-hard-drive-hp-finish-in-twinkle-black/5481602.p?id=bb5481602&skuId=5481602
Why do you keep looking for i7, it's absolute overkill, you'll be just fine with an i3 or i5. An SSD will do you a lot more good than an i7 will.

hey, the price though is pretty decent, no? Do you have a better proposal for an SSD?

By getting an i5 you should be able to save $100-150, the issue with ssds is that they are not commonly available built into a system especially desktops. That being said, with Windows 10 it's very easy to install it on your own, you can buy one for about $70, you don't need to be extremely tech savvy for it.

Hi - I need a new desktop as my dell aio is slow (I have re-installed refreshed it is not nogea). I will spend whatever it takes to have a computer that is fast and snappy. I do multi task and do WP, Excel, search Otzar Hachochma,  and burn DVDs. I am willing to spend a little more not to have lag constant waiting etc. etc. I usually do not do any gaming but have bought a gaming rig in the past just to have a fast and responsive computer.

Thank you

Is this good value?
It doesn't need to be a deal, Juat good value. I need a powerful system for video editing.

Dell XPS 8900 tower
Currently 979 after 100 cash back. With Windows 7.
Id add in a SSD - probably about 500 GB.

16GB, 2133MHz, DDR4
1TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 4GB DDR3
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 + Bluetooth 4.0
Sound Card
Integrated 7.1 with WAVE MAXXAudio Pro

Seems like an up to date system. You wouldn't be overpaying. I think this is about its value. In regard to the SSD, keep the HDD in there for large video files, only install the sys files and program files on the SSD.

Failed Pci Compliancy since i am using a personal computer (Win 10 Pro) for remote login.

They told me i have to get a server 2012 then i can use RDP (its my only option)

I need the server for QB and Chrome and thats about it. Need just for one user.

What are my options to buy?
